Most philanthropy advice comes from wealth managers whose primary expertise is financial or from generalist consultants who understand strategy but have never sat across the table from a donor.

I bring something different: 15+ years of experience on the inside of philanthropy across East and Southeast Asia. I've managed major donor relationships, worked with foundations, and seen firsthand what makes giving work and what makes it fall short.

I start with values, not vehicles
Before we talk about donor-advised funds or private foundations, we talk about what the family actually believes and what they want their giving to accomplish. The structure follows the values not the other way around.

I understand both sides of the giving relationship
I've worked with donors and with the organisations they support. That dual perspective means I can help families give in ways that create genuine impact not just good intentions.

I work across cultures and languages
Philanthropy in Asia is shaped by family dynamics, cultural expectations, and intergenerational complexity that generic advisory frameworks don't account for. I work in English and Mandarin, and bring deep familiarity with the giving landscape across the region.

I keep it simple
Families don't need more complexity. They need clarity on what they value, how they want to give, and what to do next. That's what every engagement is designed to deliver.

I bring judgment, not information

Frameworks and vehicle comparisons are everywhere now, including from AI. What's harder to find is someone who can read what a family isn't saying, and hold it in confidence. That's judgment, and it's the part of this work no framework can replace.
